麻花影视launches fourth National Week of Play centred on using play to celebrate the magic moments throughout childhood
Leading early years membership organisation The Early Years 麻花影视has announced plans for its fourth National Week of Play, which will focus on using play to celebrate childhood.
The Alliance鈥檚 National Week of Play will run from Monday 24 June to Sunday 30 June.
We all know just how important the first five years of life are to a child's later outcomes but it鈥檚 important to remember that childhood isn't just a runway to take off to adulthood; it's a magical time in and of itself. The week will focus on savouring those early moments and celebrating a child's right to just be.
The National Week of Play will celebrate play through a range of resources and activities, including:
-
An 麻花影视Family Connect event exploring how to use the outdoors to support children鈥檚 innate connection with the natural world.
-
A range of tips, ideas and activities for early years professionals to try throughout the week
-
Ideas and resources to encourage parents and carers to get involved
All attendees of Play Week will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of three Iridescent Lustre Boulders, worth 拢84.99, kindly sponsored by TTS.
Parents, carers and early years professionals can register for their free Play Week resource pack and book their place at Play Week events at
Commenting Neil Leitch, CEO of the Early Years Alliance, said: 鈥淲e know just how important the first five years of a life are to a child鈥檚 later outcomes but it鈥檚 also crucial that, alongside this, we also celebrate what makes this period such a unique time in itself.
鈥淔rom exploring how the outdoors can support children鈥檚 connection with nature, to resources and ideas to prioritise play not just as a development opportunity but to celebrate the special and unique moments of early childhood, this year鈥檚 National Week of Play will encourage both early years providers and families to find the magic in each moment.
鈥淲e hope as many educators and families as possible will take part in this year鈥檚 event, and we look forward to celebrating it with everyone in June.鈥
